Can anyone tell me what those companiesare expecting for a PM interview presentation? Are they looking for moonshot products that no one has built before? Thank you in advance
Sorry to add to this, but how would you say the PM interview at square was? How does it compare to google/fb?
At Square, you're most likely interviewing with people on the team youd be working with so they're more pleasant and the interviewer is more engaging. At Google/Facebook, you have random people interview you so they care less about making you feel welcomed etc. Overall Square felt more relaxed and friendly.
Thank you so much - would you say itβs important to do tech prep work, brushing up on things like data structures, system design, algorithms?
PM? Definitely not
Sounds good, thanks for the advice - anything else to keep in mind for the interview?

I was hired at Square and my presentation was not a moonshot, but simply a pragmatic feature that I comprehensively explained how it fits into the larger vision of the product and how I would validate it, chunk up the work, test it, market it release it, and evaluate it etc. Honestly the idea doesn't matter as long as it's reasonable, it's all about execution.
Thank you so much for the answer. When you said chuck up the work. Is it mostly just setting the milestone and high level roadmap? I wonder how detail I need to go in term of the product requirement
I would stay high level on the requirements because don't you need input from customers/team mates/stakeholders? :)
