Can I avail PTO after my notice period. Since I'm not allowed to be unemployed on an h1b, can I officially still be employed while using days from my unused PTO to take about a week off after my notice period?
Just take it before. Most managers won't give vacation after notice period

you can be unemployed upto 60 days between change of employers. thats the rule.
Can you cash it out? Companies do that.
I’d rather say take PTO first, then come back and serve notice period. This way you get to take a week off while maintaining immigration status.
