Are you paid to be an innovator, or just an executioner? Do you conquer mountains for your company? Work long hours on interesting projects? Are you happy with it? I have the scope and ability to do a ton here, but have to lead the troops to it. Sounds fun, but it's a lot of work to both learn and lead, especially as an IC and in a very bureaucratic company. It's also very demotivating knowing that all the money made from me working extra would go to everyone but the team. I'd begrudgingly say I sold my soul to the corporations for a stable high "regular" wage, but even that's not true: TC is not Blind worthy. Sigh... Hoping to get some other perspectives, maybe they'll help my outlook
