Does PayPal typically pay low? The base they offered me for software engineer is $133k. On top of that sign on and RSU. I never had any offer under 150k.

Offer is 133k for base. 10% bonus and 36k RSU. L23.

Lol. Why don’t you reject it then . Go with other offer 😜 we don’t need you .

OnnC18 - I tend to agree that you're attitude is unwarranted here. You quoted one of OP's later lines but forgot their first question about PayPal generally paying low. That was the point of their question. The statements that followed, were casual and quite normal at that, I'd say.

I specified my numbers saying that I was paid very high when I graduated out of college . PayPal didn’t lowball me . Everything depends on interviews as well . How good your feedback was . Based on the ratings of interview , an offer is presented . FYI OP didn’t tell how much experience he/ she has to judge the offer is good or bad ? OP just declared that PayPal pays so low ?

Now your questions are starting to be fair. 😁

You should have mentioned this in your first response as opposed to "we don't need you"

And from OPs response, it seems that they have interviewed at at least one or two another places which gives them the info required to term PayPal's offer as low, relatively.

Bud the problem is the attitude. You are just a nobody and that kind of arrogance is laughable.

Don’t join PayPal engineering is basically just an Indian sweatshop. Also I think they just did a round of layoffs.

Do these Indian engineers with such low salary even produce good products? If you are a good engineer why would you work for these sweatshops?

I had gotten 140 base for L24. With 10% bonus and 75k stocks.
So glad I didn’t pursue it further.

My T22 offer was 85K TC. This was 2014.

    Current TC 240K. Not joking.

Joined as T23 sometime ago (PayPal uses Ts instead of Ls) and want to say that it's at par with the standard T23 offer. In fact it's on the higher end of the spectrum and definitely significantly higher than what I got at the time.

Yes, I told them I have other offers but they wouldn't budge.

Then I think you should ask for specific feedback on your interview to better judge your position. As I said it's on the higher end of T23. Unless you have 3 or so years of experience, it'd be less likely they'd bump the level in which case you're pretty much done with this offer.
