PayPal compensation ?
How much can I expect as a software engineer at PayPal ? Yoe 8 Current tc ~220k Do you guys get annual stock refresh or is it only for the top performers ? What’s the bonus percentage like ? How is wlb ?
Don't join if your team has a couple of guys from Turkey. Nothing against the company or people from Turkey, but these two guys from Turkey in a specific team at PayPal will make your life a living hell. Source: I was on that team :-)
Hell how?
One of the Turkish dudes is the SDM on this team, and other Turkish guy is the lead. While the manager is relatively okay, the lead is a frustrated individual who thinks he could be a director. He has the tendency of lying to your face and throwing others under the bus when crunch time comes. The manager is an okay guy, but not a good manager because he doesn't care about the team dynamics. So basically the lead runs the show. This lead guy shows no interest in work, and assigns even his tasks to rest of the team. If it goes well, he takes the credit, if it doesn't, he says he delegated it to someone. I've had to so much so create slides for him for a presentation that he didn't even invite me for. I needed a job badly at the time, so I put up with it for a few months but left the job at the earliest.
PayPal is not a very high payer , expect around 250 tc. That is if you get mts 1 through your interview feedback . Wlb is good across . Not sure of other questions .
