Folks from PayPal can you please share your experience about working at PayPal. How is the work culture like ( working hours, flexibility of working from home , people, benefits, etc. ). Thanks a ton!!

makeitbig Oct 6, 2018Being an ex Paypal emp .. I wouldn’t get too excited .. but it’s ok to spend some time. Pros - profitable company, undisputed leader in payments, stock has risen consistently. SJ office is very nice Cons - Tech group run by ex eBay mafia, typical top down beaurocracy, promotions are hard, 1% annual raise, low RSUs and base, c++ proprietary tech stack - no open source but opening up a bit now.

PayPal sucks dude. What's there to do? It's complete shite.
Work culture varies hugely from team to team. In general no toxicity. Good wlb. Although benefits can improve. Pay is nowhere close to fang. But comparable with rest of the companies.
