Hello Blind users who have moved jobs while on H1B - need your help! If you moved from company 'A' to company 'B', did you provide your paystubs of company A to company B when doing your Visa transfer process? It seems like paystubs are an integral document for filing the H1B transfer but I am hesitant to provide that since my company A compensation is much lesser than company B's offer. Should I be concerned or now that I have accepted company B's offer, it is a moot point and should not worry about them finding my current pay? Thanks in advance for your input.
You will have to submit that to the lawyers because they need to prove continued employment at company A. As far as I know, the lawyer cannot share that info with company B without your consent. I am not a lawyer though. If you already have a signed offer letter from company B, I wouldn't worry about them finding out your current comp.
Generally law firms have their own portals where you upload these things. The law firms know that pay stubs etc cannot be shared with your prospective employer because of legal issues. Do not worry.
Thanks for the responses so far. I did not attach the paystubs in the original questionnaire that the lawyer sent since I was hesitant and now the lawyer has sent an email asking for that info and cc'd folks from company B, thus was a little concerned. I guess, I will just respond back to the lawyer and ask them not to share with others. Does that sound reasonable?
You don’t have to mention. Even if your manager sees it he can’t do much. The problem is you have told higher salary than what it is

You forward paystubs directly to immigration lawyer or paralegal who is handling your case. Don’t copy HR. Law firm will not and cannot share your paystubs with the company.
