I love it. And my neighbors use it too or don't care.

the real problem is with your employer not giving everyone private offices

Same, if some noise bothers you work from home or b*tch at management for going with an open office plan, or use some of that TC to get good headphones.

Doesn’t exactly work when your neighbors need to be on the phone, have stand ups, etc.

You being on the phone is just as distracting as a mechanical keyboard

      I mean, really?

      Phone conversations = necessity
      Loud keyboard = luxury

That has nothing to do with how distracting it is... the problem isn’t the keyboards or the phone calls

The whole point of this thread is to say Yes, mechanical keyboards are a problem.

Headphones don't help with clicking like that.

      Noise canceling ?

Noise canceling only helps with low frequency sounds. Clicks aren’t exactly that.

Well I'm not entirely sure how they're doing their adaptive filter nor what the frequency response of cherry Mx switches are so I can't exactly confirm your statement. I can say that I don't hear my switches with the headphones on. There's also passive cancellation due to the over the ear materials

Noise canceling headphones won't even filter out the annoying slack notification sound

i switched to a quieter version when i no longer have my private office. also kindly do the needful and ask your coworker not to type so furiously, it might hurt their hands.
