To the people working over 50+ hours per week, here are some comments from a guy working at Google: “How is that possible? Are these people all super young? No families? No social life like dating and such? Sounds like a whole bunch of losers to me to be honest, who takes pride in leaving at 11 at Google? I would leave assuming TC is not insanely high. My TC is ~400k and I do 40h a week, as it should be.” What do you guys think?
Don't care.
10 hours a day is 8-6 or 9-7. Really isn’t that life altering.
No. That's just 20 days. Big deal. I'd rather do that and climb the ladder.
Does this include commute?
Please come in? Come in where?
Ground Control to Major Tom.
There’s nothing wrong with leaving at 11pm. Sometimes I come in to work at 5pm. The flexibility is great.
Nah, feels like grad school, it's so depressing to go to work late when no ones is there.
It’s great. I can actually get my tasks done, and nobody is going to judge me for drinking the free chocolate milk.
Losers*
I feel like Blind should require a pollmaker test.
I think it’s incredible that people live in the city and commute out for Google/FB. Commute is like 2.5 hours a day, on top of what, a 9 hour work day? Impressive.
I see it as incompetent. If someone can accomplish the same thing in 30 hours then you look foolish to take twice as long. Probably the arrogance that what they are working on is worth the long hours because of their past credentials....smart ones milk the system for what it's worth and enjoy freedom.
You work over 50 hours a week?
