I joined a company in April and Recruiter had told me that I will be part of the review process this year so I accepted the offer without any negotiation. But now my manager says I will not be part of the review process thus I need to wait till Q4 2020 for any raise in my compensation. What should I do ? TC : 150k
You got hosed
What should I do now ?

Even if you do get a raise it won't be much anyway given you've only worked for a couple months, it's not worth fighting with HR and manager, they know what they're doing. Expect a bigger raise next cycle!
Yes , I hope so. Thanks .
Oops this is exactly my case. I fought with my manager last year and guess what .. nothing happened
Did they give a good raise this year ? Or are you expecting one ?
A direct I inherited also fell into this category - didn’t negotiate. I went to bat and made it right for her.
Your manager, or more likely their manager, is stiffing you. Tell them you know that you are eligible and it was part of your agreement to come on board and that they are now reneging on the agreement and it will start your relationship off with zero trust if they do this. Then after your one year is up, move teams.
If your review season is July-June and you joined in April... what are you really expecting. 2 months worth of “atta boy” cash and a salary adjustment? Put your head down and perform, manager will take notice next review. Complaining won’t get you far
I know it’s only 3-4 months . But why did recruiter lie about it so that I don’t negotiate. It’s about trust and how will you be motivated once you come to know that the people you work lied from the day the job was offered. Asking for what I was told is not complaining
Check with your HR business partner. This should all be documented as policy. Usually you should be there longer than a quarter in order to do perf review.
Yes I have joined a week before the cut off date
Then you need to make your manager aware of this and bring the HRBP into the discussion. But more importantly the manager needs to know what you expect and hopefully you’ve done such a fantastic job that he/she is willing to go to bat for you.
