SDE, MS + 5 years of experience and making give or take ~320k in Bay Area. How much a PhD holder makes in general ? How much more compare to a MS or BS holder ?
Wut, apple pays 320k for 5 years exp?
That's a lot 😁
Education isn't a significant factor at all. Time in band is worth much more. Most PhD make much less than equally aged colleagues.
I'm also considering whether a MS is worth the effort wrt employment pay. What i noticed is that many PhDs get into or found startups where they get significant stock therefore have the possibility of being much better paid than regular engineers. I'm thinking that the academic environment opens up more opportunities and creates the credentials to access higher paid jobs.

I don’t think ur education dictates how much you make, its not the 90s :)
