Had a very strong performance but only one coding question completed. For second one, only 10 minutes were left still managed to code but header files were not there, so didn't compile. Interviewer was very positive throughout the interview and appreciated at multiple steps. However she had mentioned that complete solution is more important than efficient which makes me think that output is the most important thing. Should I re do it? Have you had success with redo?
Whats karat?
How do you redo? They’ll know you applied and won’t consider you for 6-12 months
Karat is the agency where they are outsourcing coding int. They have a policy to redo. Basically you can appeal within a day to do new interview without being judged for the first attempt.
pinterest is a waste of ur time. avoid if possible
I see similar posts from Pinterest employees these days? What has gone wrong? Pinterest is also going public soon, aren't employees happy about it?
I strongly disagree. But that's the nature.. this stage isn't for everyone. You see similar posts from Airbnb and uber employees. Pre ipo Facebook was not a happy place. Post ipo was like snap while the stock was getting decimated and everyone thought the company was dying. Negative people scream louder than positive people.
I strongly recommend you go for redo. I had interview with Pinterest/Karat guy. I solved two questions in one hour and perfectly ran them without any error. But I didn’t get the on-site invitation. I am thankful for that because I ended up getting a much better company’s offer:)
Thanks a lot.
