Here's my path: Full Stack (3 years) -> Lead(3.5 years) -> Solutions Archtect (1.5 years) Something that's has been on my mind these past few months is where do I want to go or be in the next ten years, and I don't think it's coding. At every role I've worked at, I've made it a mission to involve the company/business strategy, proving myself to have a seat in the leadership meetings, or working on process improvements that involve multiple departments. I feel like this instead of development is my bread and butter and it's this kind of stuff that has always interested me in Tech. I've thought of Product Management(super hard to break into), Chief of Staff roles(this is new to me), or Operation/Strategy roles. The Chief of staff role is something I've considered recently. In a lot of ways, it feels like I'm currently doing this for my Director. I've taken a lot of his admin-level responsibilities and internal/external meetings so he can focus on what our new department is supposed to be. Oddly enough, I find this type of work to be really fun. I wanted to know from others here, what was your approach to completely get out of your field?

Hey OP! I've been thinking about getting into Solutions Engineering /pre-sales engineering. How did you switch to being a Solution engineer? Did you switch within the same company?
Hey! It was a cold application. I tailored my resume to be completely client-facing. Have you done anything like that before?
No I haven't. I have been in software engineering all my life. But I have worked end to end on all the products I have helped build. I think I should be able to leverage my existing knowledge and learn on the job. But totally unsure how to approach or change my resume to cater to a solution engineer job description.

What is the appeal to NVIDIA?
Sales?
It's a possibility. I've been on a good number pre-sales calls and have been knocking them out of the park.
