Not really a Visa issue but this may be the best place to ask around. For us immigrants, what do you have planned for when your parents get old? Will you bring them here? If not and if they need someone, how do you imagine to balance between you going back taking care of them and your career/family?
This is a tricky issue. There are legal hurdles: unless you are a citizen and can sponsor parents, the most they can live with you is 6 months every year. As parents age, traveling every year becomes difficult for them. Even if you are a citizen, they may not want to move at such a late stage in life leaving behind their social life. Financial: health insurance is too expensive. Most parents don't qualify for Medicaid. Moving back comes with its own set of issues. Finding opportunities in the city they live in can be tough. If you have a family, then they may not want to relocate. Unfortunately, many in Indian society look down on retirement homes and see it as some sort of betrayal by the child. In my personal opinion, a really good retirement home can be a great option. They get to mingle with people their own age and most importantly, have immediate access to medical help.
Retirement home *is* a betrayel. If u've earned enough in Us why do u careabt opportunities in your hometown.
Adding asterisks to verbs does not convert opinions to facts. You and your family see it as a betrayal and while I totally respect your choice to think in a certain way, doesn't mean my opinion is incorrect.

I'll try to earn as much as I could for several years (maybe till mid 30s?) then go home. Then I will try to find a mediocre job and spend time with my family and friends 😀
Move back to India yogi. That's the only real answer.
This really works well only for films who are from cities that have good tech opportunities like Bangalore, Hyd, Pune etc. If you are from a smaller town or big towns that so not have a good tech scene, then all you achieve is reducing your flight time from 24 hours to 5 hours. Might as well move to Singapore or Dubai...
Nope. Firstly u shouldnt need money if u've had enuf time in US. Secondly if u really need it that bad u can stay at the closest metro city which is like 3-4 hours from home and parents can move more freely within India. So unless you dont have an intent/desire to move back(which seems to be it in your case) all such bs is just excuses.
How much do you plan to save before move back?
