Planning itinerary to show parents around the USA
Folks whose parents have visited them here for vacation, how did you plan your itinerary to show them around the US? I stay on the West coast and it seems that making them come here first and then taking them back to NYC/DC would be a terrible waste of money when NYC is enroute their way of travel from India. But, if we make their first stop in NYC, they'd be jet lagged, and it would be no good to visit NYC then. Any Ideas?
I believe they are having visa for atleast 6 months... when my parents visited me... I had make sure they take rest for 2 weeks... then plan like 2 spots per/month... plan longer location on December as at that time you will get more leaves... don’t miss Niagara Falls (but it must be closed now... check when they open) plan to stay with them for last week with them at EAST area and plan NYC, DC, NJ - Akshardham, and NiagaraFalls in that week and finally drop them their way back to India via DC (You get mostly direct flights from there)...
One more point at last week, take car rental so you can travel the way you want...
Unless you live in Arizona or Texas not a good idea to invite them now, better to invite them in May.
Why not for Texas ?
Do NYC on their way back to India. And they can fly back from there.
