Was wondering if people here would find a web app that helps manage your job search useful. This helps solve the problem of knowing where all your applications are, capture notes for each interview and post interview, one click apply for jobs of interest, integrate with email to track conversation/status of application etc. Please feel free to add comments!
If only you could do this on Excel...
Google is already in this space.
Can confirm, Google Sheets has been around forever.
Legit just used GSheets to manage my own job hunt
I'm surprised why isn't there a platform yet where you can upload your profile and don't have to go through separate applications for all companies, fill the application once, and just select what all companies you want to show your resume to. Also companies can make the coding part of the interviews centralized. Pass a set of coding interviews and you pass coding interviews for all companies. Then onsite will only be behavioral and getting to know the company. There are many companies which come close to solving this in parts but none of them solving it all. Like LinkedIn, TripleByte, icims, and other job portals.
So agree with this
What a stupid idea about centralized coding...
It will be really useful to have a product the candidates can use to manage their various job applications, progress, what stage it is in, what are the next actions, notes from interview, and resume specific to that job. It will be a good addition to LinkedIn itself instead of a new product.
Thanks for the comment!
I’ve had the same ideal for a while. I think it’d be useful for both business and consumers
What's your idea on the business use case?
