This offer is based at Uber India, so I understand some of the things may not be the same but want to listen to people. 1. How likely it is to hit 200 percent target cash bonus? What is the usual percentages and distribution of people in bonus ranges.? 2. Is their a 200 percent target for stocks also? 3. I have been given rsu's at 33.6 dollar price. Is that a fair price? How likely it is going to increase. 4. How is the salary raise. This might be different for India.
Congrats.
Congrats and thanks for being polite. It’s rare in this egotistical hellhole. I hope you get your answers
1. 200% target likelihood. Very low. Just assume 100% target is the average, and 200% is the top performer. 2. 200% stocks too. Yes, cash and stock are given at bonus time (e.g. $10,000 bonus, then $8,000 will be in unvested RSU, and $2000 in cash 3. $33.6 stock price going up. Maybe. If I knew the answer, I'd be a rich man. 4. Salary raises. Cost of living raise in US is 3%. Promotion raises vary by performance and role jump.
Point 2 is outdated. We now have separate targets for cash and stock
1. Extremely unlikely. 1%-3% ppl at that range. Especially at senior roles 2. Cash and stocks are decoupled. Stock ll not b 2x in any scenario 3. That's the recent value.. I think its a good point to get in.. Will defi b way higher than this very soon 4. 11% annual. But u should consider much higher inflation and annual increase in cost of living as well
Base salary and RSUs?
Please do NOT fall for high bonus BS. It’s the oldest tactic recruiters at Uber have been using, smart ones don’t fall for it. Just so you know, we’ve become socialist in our payouts. High performer or not, everyone takes home about the same bonus. Negotiate hard on stocks and cash in hand.
Completely agree.. It's socialist where there is no financial benefit in working hard. No matter what u do everyone is paid essentially the same with very low variance.. For this reason not a lot of good talent is joining Uber in India
That's sad to hear. I have been making 170 to 200 percent on my bonuses here at MS. That atleast is a partial motivating factor for working hard and smart.
What position and how many stocks?
