Police office should no longer respond to any emergancy or call at StarBux anymore. Agree?

Police office in scotdale asked to leave Starbucks because customer feeling unsafe. And officers left? Wtf. While I agree this is wrong cops aren’t blameless. Cops need to start holding on another accountable. It’s such an important job and the margin of error is small but it’s the job and you sign yo for it. Cops aren’t victims.

What if instead of a group of cops it would have been a group of black teenagers with hoodies? A person just as stupid as this customer could be worried because statistically black people commit crimes at a much higher rate and now you have 6 of them at the same table. 🙄

What if it was a gay person who wanted a cake? Oh, right.

Apparently, Americans feel more comfortable with homeless people than with cops. It's so funny.

SAP woos Jul 5, 2019

The bigger & more pertinent question might have been whether the discomfort was with THIS particular group of cops, or with cops in general, and (in either case), why.

Microsoft @FB Jul 5, 2019

Really? Just do a google search... Lots of people getting killed by homeless people. And lots of women getting raped even if you restrict your search to the last 5 years in Seattle.

Microsoft w9xoxod Jul 5, 2019

Yeah cops make people feel unsafe. We don't want borderline psychopaths on the edge with guns near us.

Lyft done2 Jul 5, 2019

Clearly you’ve had a very sheltered life

Microsoft w9xoxod Jul 5, 2019

Unlike most of the people here I've actually dealt with cops

I would make a note to self to avoid Starbucks for safety reasons, but I already never go there. Too many better alternatives.

Wow who’s that barista. Shame that bithc

So...disagree means that police shouldn’t leave when requested by the establishment? wtf?

Expedia Lark71 OP Jul 6, 2019

Agree means police should ignore distress calls made by starbux employees with the pretext that we dont want your customers feel umconfortable so handle yourself.

So random barista has rights to kick out paying customers? I.e. If some jerk in Che Guevara t-shirt makes some poor south American uncomfortable barista should be able to kick him out? Nice.

What are you trying to do here?? Being smart??

Business asking non paying loitering person to leave during rush hour to free space for paying customers? Ok, skin color doesn't matter.

Amazon weeeeeeee Jul 6, 2019

> paying customers > non paying customers Why are you struggling with simple things?

Microsoft @FB Jul 5, 2019

Most likely customer had like a pound of heroin in their bag so kicking police out definitely calmed down their nerves.

Expedia Lark71 OP Jul 6, 2019

And if paying customer happen to be white, would barista have asked group of hoodies to leave? Then these same people (justifying barista now) would be crying racism.
