I have been living in the US from past 8 years absolutely symptom free but whenever I visit India I experience severe pollen allergy as I did before immigrating to US. Has anyone experienced the same ? TC 240k YOE 12
Same with me .. use cetrizine and fluticasone propionate
Not to me, but I know couple people who have the same issue
I must have missed YOE memo. What’s that stand for?
No permanent cure. In fact, it will get worse. Slowly you might get lactose intolerant or gluten sensitive. I became lactose intolerant around the time I got green card. Somehow it seems to be related to stages of immigration. 😀
Don’t apply for citizenship
Woah .. I didn't knew my lactose intolerance was related to my polling issues
Pussies 😂
Looks like you need a Neti pot
Me. And I have bad allergy with dust too.
Consider yourself lucky, but it could still kick in. Granted, 8 years is a long time. I'm from the US east coast, so the pollen is probably not AS different, but I grew up with absolutely horrible allergies (both seasonal and in general.) My first 3 1/2 yeas after moving to California were great. Then the allergies kicked in even worse than before. Fortunately the medicine these days is better than when I was a kid, which was pretty much just benadryl and sudafed. Second the recommendations of cetirizine, a steroid nasal spray (I use triamcinolone, but the recommendation of fluticasone above is good) and saline nasal irrigation (I use a squeeze bottle rather than a neti pot but same idea.) If it's really bad, there are some other things you can try (montelukast, azelastine, cromolyn, and some other sedating antihistamines like hydroxyzine or chlorpheniramine)
It may be pollution more than pollen
Thanks for TC. YOE? Answer: haven’t experienced.
