For those of you that have received (or will receive) material liquidity ($250K+), what do you plan to do with it? Start a new company? Venture investing? Etc?
I like my job, so I’ll keep doing that until I don’t want to anymore. If we do enter a bad market, I will have financial stability and be able to wait it out without relying on liquidating my equity to pay the bills. I am interested in angel investing, but there is so much competition in that space right now that I think returns may be higher elsewhere. I plan to gradually sell my stock and move things to a relatively conservative portfolio. I’m going to leave more in company stock than an advisor would probably tell me to, but I understand this company and it’s prospects better than I understand any other company and am happy to take that risk.
250k post taxes is barely a new car ;)
