I am currently interviewing with Microsoft for a Premier Field Engineer position. One of the topics that came up was about being open on doing workshops and presentations for various conferences. Now I am curious which conferences PFEs present and do the workshops at? How often do they present? Do they chose which ones to do the talks on or get assigned by managers ?
SCOM, primarily, as a dedicated to couple large clients.
So many of the successful PFEs present at internal conferences for readiness and training. For specific workshop it mayake sense to deliver to your customers depending upon their maturity so that may be required from time to time. Especially if your dedicated customer billable hours change in some way
Are these these workshops prepared by a specific team, or it's up to PFE to do it ?
So it can IP developed by yourself or other PFEs for customers. Conferences usually it work done by individuals or collaboration with the PG.
Doing workshop can be big part of of the work. Depending of the type of PFE you are? What technology or product would you align to?
