Is the paid course by educative.io Grokking the system design interview worth the cost? I’m a PM prepping for a TPM interview, Principal level. Or can I rely on YouTube videos or are pages like https://bit.ly/2u72rH7 good enough?
Just work at a job for a couple years and it should come easily
definitely worth the cost. Before reading that I was always afraid of system design interviews. After reading it, I feel system design is boring and much more easier to prepare than algorithm interview.
Designing data intensive applications is a good book if you have time to read it (600 pages). Watching videos, reading white papers as well. I found grokking useful but not enough for senior engineer Interviews. System design primer is also good.
Bought it, totally worth the cost. Agreed that the content can be improved, but it's good as is and complimentary to the other resources. If you think in terms of roi, it is one of the best investments.
It is all packaged nicely. Is that any more valuable than say the system design primer? Roi is infinity if price is zero :)
Thanks all. Sounds like it’s worth it. And since I’m a PM, not an engineer, it might be good enough for me.
pm me if u need it

Tipping culture is really getting out of control! Waiter gave me ‘a look’ because I tipped her 10% for ‘BAD service!’
It's definitely worth the cost.
I heard mixed feedback - definitely good, but most of the design question seem to refer to each other ( and limited set of patterns ).
