I got an offer from Microsoft in last week of March. The recruiter seems to be so busy that she doesn’t have time to even process/generate the offer. Her average turnaround time to reply is 3-4 days which is really unacceptable. Has anyone experienced something similar from microsoft?
It was always a week for me to get recruiter’s response back. So chill!
I got my offer letter after 2 months of verbal offer. Very slow process.
Yeah Microsoft recruiting was painfully slow. You get to enjoy the same level of chill once you're inside the door though too 😂
I just started and my recruiter was incredibly on the ball. Barely an hour turnaround on emails. They did just recently reorg hr and a bunch of stuff is in flux though. Time from offer acceptance to start was pushed back almost 3 weeks cause of it.
Yeah MSFT I'm a new grad hire and its been abysmal for me as well I did get my offer but I've been bounced around a lot. A reorg just happened so it's probably even worse.
I believe they are upgrading their hiring system recently
Hey. The internal hiring site was upgraded in mid March and upgrade didn't go well as planned. Hiring managers and recruiters have lost the ability to generate offers, list new jobs etc. I have friends internally who have a verbal offer for a team change but have been waiting on this. It's just starting to come back up. Of course, there may be other reasons the recruiter isn't having back to you, but if you were in the mood to give the benefit of doubt...
This is on top of the fact that MS recruiters are mostly vendors and notoriously slow. Hang in there OP, real Microsoft isn't like this.
Same experience, interviewed in February, they just applied for my h1 transfer. I interviewed 2 other companies and could not get a better offer than MS. very frustrated with slow process.
When did u accept the offer and after how many days of accepting offer you received the h1 transfer initiation?
It takes almost a 3 to 4 weeks to initiate h1 transfer
Same here. Had 4 back and forth calls with the recruiter and she would always call 30 min to 1 hr late than scheduled time!!

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
She is enjoying her life-work balance! Yes, at Microsoft life comes before work.
