product Manager position Currently with SAP Been offered 105k TC (t2-1) with sap (los angeles) Coming from Germany, 1yoe visa sponsorship + 10k sign on included. I'm a business grad. does that sound like a good offer to you? in general, what is the career progression you guys would expect as a product manager?
Just checked the average product manager salary I’m for LA on Glassdoor. $114k
Seems low tbh
No way you can live in LA with that kind of salary unless you rent in the inland empire and deal with 1 hr plus drives every day one way. Though with 1 yoe I don’t think you have much leverage. It’s still cheaper than relocating to SAP in Palo Alto.
Anybody from sap here who can compare their wages?
And yeah I also think it seems low especially since I come from one of the best business schools. But coming from Europe, what are really the options here? In Germany, I'd get half that.
There ain’t any best business school in Europe. Period. ( don’t believe me .. take a look at this thing called : European economy)
Use this as ur ticket to enter Cali. Don’t stay more than 6 months and max 1 yr. move out then ASAP. SAP has shit products and most of the PMs are useless with no vision of building great products.

I haven’t done shit today!
105k Jesus Christ I make quite a bit more than that as a junior developer. I guess it’s because you're coming from Europe where the wages are much lower
