I am up for a promotion at work. This means a bump in pay and change in title. Does this require a H1b amendment?

Current TC: 70k
Future TC: 95k

Current role: Associate Marketing Manager (AMM)
Future role: Marketing Manager

LCA filed under Marketing Managers as an AMM.

TIA 🙂

    If your title changes, yes

    • No, only if the change is material. (Work location, ic -> manager, work function (swe to marketing)) OP should be fine

You should technically file an amendment for a salary change

For every salary change? That feels excessive

I mean, how often does your salary change? Amendments like this are free and aren't too tough to accommodate.

Sure, but is it necessary is the point. Salary changes once per year at the minimum

Depends how conservative your lawfirm is, but technically you should for salary changes as they shouldn't be fluctuating that much because it goes against the whole argument we have that the occupation requires special training. If a salary is going up and down the govt might be asking in the case of a decrease, "well... why all of a sudden did this workers salary decrease? Did their skills decrease? Does this no longer require special training? Maybe we can find a citizen to do this now...."

Just one scenario (may be too long winded though)
