Hi I am considering a property in Dublin vs Union City ? Growth wise -which city has more potential ?!
Do you have kids? If so Dublin
I heard it’s hard to get into public schools in Dublin because there’s no space. They build too many houses but not enough room in school. Not sure if it’s still true.
agree that’s what I read ! Now focus is on schools !
Going through similar considerations here.
Dublin just built a big k8 school worth millions of dollars! Hands down Dublin!
I recommend Dublin. Better quality of life but it will be a longer commute. If you work for any of the companies that have shuttles, Pleasanton is right across the highway.
Recently made the decision to buy in Union City and also work in Dublin. Reverse commute from Union City to Dublin is easy. Easier to switch jobs, go to Palo Alto, better BART connectivity. Union City elementary schools are filling up with kids from tech parents. Growth is definitely Union City because of Fremont spillover, New offices are coming up around BART district, and plazas are becoming upscale.
Exactly. Can’t believe the number of people in this thread saying Dublin. If you care about house resale value, absolutely UC.
I agree with commute times! But I think Dublin has better school district than union city! Search for union city in Zillow and it’s laughable that I see schools with rating 3 and 4 which is really bad! You can opt for private schooling but then u can get same kind of kids studying with your kids there too! Get your data right my friend!

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
Don’t know union city, but Dublin is really crowded. Which I guess is a good problem to have? If the local government is able to provide better infrastructure.
