i have a chance to join a bootcamp training. one company is offering •java, react, angular, textscript, c# , aws (fullstack) •python, angular, textscript, ml using python, aws. (fullstack) so i figured they’re both fullstack but with different backend based language. which language is better in term of job oppertunities and salary? Also if you have a reason why, let me know in the comments, i am new to the field and would appreciate the input.
AFAIK java runs faster and is more tuned for backend development. Some of its real competitors are node and go. However these days even in Java you have node like async programming with frameworks like vertx etc. And the great thing is that once you learn java you can pick up another jvm language like kotlin groovy or Scala and still leverage the raw cpu speed of jvm and event driven architecture of frameworks like vertx. Also did I mention how easy it is to develop microservices with spring cloud? I will let others correct me if I am wrong but I haven't seen similar stuff in python atleast for backend dev. Python is more suitable for ai and ml and data stuff afaik
Yeah Python does have some libraries to make stuff on the backend but nothing near what is available with the Spring or .NET stacks
Python is the second best language for everything.
Big red flag for me on the python one is that it teaches ML. You don’t need to go anywhere near ML for the type of positions you’ll be interviewing for. They’re just playing off ML hype to draw people in, but you should focus on full stack skills.
They both kinda sound like a shit show of random technologies tbh. I’d just learn one tech stack and call it a day. Better to be master of one than master of none when you’re starting out.
Id say this is bad advice for starting off. You are better off starting off by getting exposed to a range of tools before picking one or two things you feel like suits your goals. Otherwise you risk ending up becoming one of those "Java Engineers" that get stuck indefinitely in the code mines at some place like Wells Fargo
So learning multiple front end frameworks and back end languages with a sprinkle of random ML and visualization is a great move 😂.

Java and C# is far more popular with backend api development Python is more popular in the analytics scene for visualization, scripting etc. but sucks a bit with hefty backend stuff
