Will it be counted against the candidate if he/she uses python in Amazon interviews for new grad positions I heard that it is not a preferred language at Amazon And also how about other companies like goldman sachs, twitter, google, facebook and ebay
At Amazon it will only hurt if you can’t explain the code and just rely on “magic”. Builtins are great, just know how to they work for complexity analysis, etc.
Exactly this. It’s great to know “sorted” is a built in, but we also want to make sure you have an educated guess as to what’s happening complexity wise.
It doesn’t matter. In fact you will save time writing a lot of boiler plate code such as in Java.
People have used it with me. I prefer candidates use it actually. Much more concise
At Amazon we use Python for machine learning
So machine learning engineers write only python code?
I used JavaScript and got an offer.
