What would be QA Manager Salary? I have 6 years of experience of Software Engineering (NOT Test engineer) but actual development engineer but see a potential opportunity to apply for QA Manager role. Should I move in to QA or stick with development?
A QA manager's responsibilities are distinctly different from a software engineer or even an sdm. If you haven't already, I think the more important questions would be about this role, rather than it's salary.
Ict 3 under Eddy.
QA is important work but it’s also easy to get pigeon holes into it sadly. I’d be very cautious about it and only do it if there’s clear immediate upsides. Unless you’re fine with it long term of course. Also QA is a seen more as a cost center than profit center so it tends to offer less opportunity and income long term.
Look around. How many QA jobs do you see nowadays.. dead end career path man
How many companies are top tier companies and don’t have any test/Qa engineers?
Yes. QA dead end
Indeed, look up QA roles—there are tons of them at startups as well as at Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft. The role is far from dead. However, it has gotten much more technical, mostly SDETs and automation roles.
