Seems like a good offer, but be aware we don’t get a ton of raises or equity grants YoY, it’s a bit complicated but compared to large tech not super high. Eng is a little different (I’m not eng). So just be sure to ask your recruiter really specifically about bonus, raise, future equity
I'm in Eng and got zero raise this past cycle with an on target rating. Most people I know that didn't get a promotion got a 2-3% bump but if you're at the top of your pay band, you won't get anything
What does the cash 40k per year exactly mean? Under what title do they offer this? I mean is it "bonus" or what is it ?
Cash incentive instead of stocks
How did it work out? Did you specifically ask for cash incentive or they offered it because they didn't have stocks so to be competitive they offered cash?

I would want a 100K raise for such a drop in engineering reputation. Qualtrics seems like a sales oriented company and is not engineering focused. I would use this offer to negotiate elsewhere.
