Qualtrics levels and compensation?
Hi, I received a senior offer a few years ago but I declined it at the time. Now they are recruiting me for staff level. I am wondering if this is equivalent to the previous staff level. The reason I ask is because some companies change the titles after acquisition. For example, there could be an automatic title change to higher title to match the company that acquired it. Is staff level still the same staff level as before? Also, how is the compensation? My senior offer was much lower at the time compared to other offer. But I feel like the compensation went up. I am not sure if this is because of acquisition which boosted the worth of stock price. Is stock liquid after acquisition? TC: 280k
It would be helpful if you shared the level that you were offered. We technically have sap levels but they don’t mean anything and half the employees likely aren’t aware
I didn’t even start interviewing yet. As I mentioned, I got an offer for senior a few years ago. This time they say I am interviewing for staff; hence, no info about levels. So are there levels even within senior or staff band?
I’m on the business side, not the eng pm side so my info may be a little different. My guess is if Senior last time they offered L5-6, this time would be L7. For eng, we consider L8 as director and a massive promotion. L5-7 really functions comparably in a lot of ways but it becomes team and individual dependent. Meaning, we’re pretty flat (for real), you may be a team lead or an IC at those levels etc. Hope that helps

Comp went down after acquisition, but it's decent. Staff is signify higher than senior. Titles are still the same.
I feel like pre-aquisition we down leveled everyone and got people to sign based on IPO hype. Post-aquisition we hire people in at much higher levels which seems to be the case here too. Same person suddenly being looked at for a much more senior level. Great if you're on the outside, sucks internally.
