1. How long did it take you from the day you applied for PR yourself to getting your parents over as PR as well. 2. Can you then sponsor a sibling to move as well? 3. Are you happy with your decision? 4. Can you later move back to the States on TN visa? 5. Can you move back to the states on L1A and get GC? What will the process entail to then get your parents again to the States and get their GC? 6. From when since getting the PR will parents get covered in Canadian healthcare? What did you do in the interim period? 7. How have your parents responded to the cultural shock of relocating at such a late time in their life? 8. How difficult and/or different has it been travelling back to India?
Lol so true!
Do you need to become a Canadian citizen to sponsor your parents? You need to live in Canada 3/5 years to maintain residency. Then after 3 years you can apply for citizenship. If you sponsor your parents you need to maintain residency.
Dude ask an immigration expert. That list is to damn long
Op did you get your answer?
I feel like an Indian spends the majority of their live dealing with paperwork.
There's a hierarchy of living standards across the world, we aren't anywhere close to the States but neither are we anywhere towards the bottom. If lifelong paperwork helps me climb that ladder I don't mind.
True comment. Totally acceptable response.
