RSUs on promotion (Amazon US, SDE)
How many RSUs (and what was the stock price at the time) did you get with promotion from Amazon L5 to L6 (SDE) ? How far is vesting?

Search for target compensation on blind and you will understand how amazon decides your pay. It sucks but that’s the truth. I got promoted to SDE2 and didn’t get even a single RSU because my compensation was > my target.
If your original offer is considered on the high side, then none. My friend got promoted from 5 to 6 (sde) and she was already in the top 10% of the org, but didn't get any RSUs for her promotion. She did get some in the next annual review though.
What if all of your sign-on stock has vested? Are you expected to work for the base salary?
