How is it 425k? L6 SDE?

Amazon BaySde May 19, 2019

This doesn’t look like a typical amazon offer. Your second year bonus is missing and amazon offers typically have number of rsus instead of a $ number

Lockheed Martin gdbsk6d May 19, 2019

Agree the 2nd year bonus is missing. But my “email offer” had $ and # RSU. They may just be going off of that. “Official offer” only had # RSUs.

How did you calculate this TC to be 425?

Jet.com coderb May 19, 2019

Yeah looks more like 360

Amazon simmadown May 19, 2019

I get 332. 175 + 132 (60% sign on) + 25

L6?

Apple gerde May 19, 2019

Looks a good offer - maybe negotiate on RSU - SDM can reach 500K in bar area

Looks like a good L7 offer.

No. Must be L6

I have not seen any 400+ offers for L6. It's truly great if it's L6. I might consider moving to Amazon in that case.

Good L6 offer for bay area! Y1: 175+220+0.05*500 = 420 Y2: 175+175+0.15*500 = 425 Y3: 175 + 0.4*500 = 375 Y4: 175 + 0.4*500 = 375 Amzn considers the expected stock growth of 15% in TC calculation. Factoring that: Y1: 175+220+0.05*500 = 420 Y2: 175+175+0.15*500*1.15 = 436 Y3: 175 + 0.4*500*1.15^2= 439 Y4: 175 + 0.4*500*1.15^3 = 480 Of course AMZN is quite high right now. It might not grow 15% yoy. But again it can 2x in 3 years. which case your TC can exceed 550k!

If this is L6 SDM, then not so good for Bay area because Seattle SDM offer is just slightly less (6-10%).

Amazon cnnfox May 20, 2019

It’s a wide band. Read here about 280k-320k offers in Seattle for L6 SDM. Also seen 380k for Seattle. Lots of factors in play!
