How frequently do you hear back from recruiters when you reach out to them through LinkedIn?
Never. Because i don't reach out to them, they reach out to me
100%. But I only reach out to recruiters who had reached out to me in the past and I ghosted them.
What is ghosting?
Not responding
I never reach out, that’s their job!
It depends on where you work and who you are reaching out to. If I simply look at the profile from a recruiter at Google they usually send me a PM and/or invitation.
Yeah, emailing doesn't work. I just respond to recruiters who messaged me and always respond to faang to stay in touch. Last time I got a Google onsite, I reached out to a recruiter who messaged me years ago.
Do you think that not being from a tech company made it more difficult to get responses from recruiters
Not really, although once you get to one onsite and you tell other faang that you are interested and have onsites to G or FB they get back fast and some will skip phone rounds.
None
