Real Estate website India

Don’t yet see a good real estate website like zillow, trulia, redfin, realtor etc. in India Best one (99acres) doesnt have that good user experience. Anybody know the reason why? Would it be a good startup Idea to start a better website?

Beautiful site requires data. Here in US, the industry is structured where as in India there is no way to get all details.

We can get all the datails but not the correct data. Most of the times the paid price is not shown in the documents used for registration.

There are way too many websites in India too and the market is completely different. The user experience is just the same. You're biased towards this market structure. In India, builders are few and they sell directly - DLF, Sobha etc. Here even smaller builders sell via Zillow so there are more smaller builders whereas Indian websites just need to have one big fish as customer. If you look at DLF's project offering with 99acres, for ex, you will see that the UX is awesome but that is only because they invest where they know they will get returns. Resale ads are mostly free and realtors usually list and can get in touch with customers directly, whereas here, there is a separate stream to earn from realtors. Completely different business models, use cases and dynamics.
