I barely make ends meet and my savings is laughable, yet I see plenty of associates and 1st year seniors driving luxury cars and carrying LV, Channel bags. Is it family money? Or am I missing something?
You must be in a big city. I'm in the SE and living a life of luxury as Staff 1.
I honestly think a lot of it has to do with where you live. Find a state with a low cost of living and you'll be able to afford that "German luxury car" cause you'll be spending less on everything else
I met 3 newbies this week and they all had bmws. I drive 2004 jetta as a senior 3. Where did i fuck up?
I've seen associates buying up houses with their parent's money. If you have the financial backing why not?
Control your expenses. Pack your lunch and dinner or eat at home. Go to costco. It sounds too simple but for me, eating expenses vary from $400 to $1500 per month.
I gotta start doing this.
I got lucky. My parents live near by so I save a ton on rent.
I work in chicago and i see a ton of spoiled kids from depaul
is DePaul a school?
Yeah its a very expensive private school
I put certain amount of money into my investment account every month. When my expense shoots up, I use credit card and my quality of life suffers. But i still save the money
Mind me asking what kind of investment?
maybe found a sugar daddy or a rich cougar on tinder?
lol
That's my wet dream
I think it's a matter of priorities. I drive a German luxury sedan and to be honest I often get managers and coworker's giving me the kind of look that I'm either spoiled or very financially irresponsible.
But really, I used to drive a corolla which got absolutely totaled in an accident and decided I wanted something much safer to drive.
I don't know which area you live in, but I'm in SV office and seriously after rent and bills I'm hovering sub $1000. Maybe we're in different boats? Or I simply have a different threshold?
