Nobody cares about their GPUs, their CPUs are killing the game right now though

one reason only .. PCIe lanes .. if you need straight up cpu cycles you go with Intel, if you need GPU you go with Nvidia, if you need PCIe lanes you go AMD. it's a niche but for e.g.. nvme jbofs it's a great niche to be in.
Not really, you want them to compete so you'd at least give some businesses to both.
Lol. It's just short
That company/stock was so beaten down that just showing some signs of life and profitability are enough to drive sentiment. Their current P/E is high but their valuation isn’t that crazy and the current price is forward looking. A company that takes back even 5-10% of the market has value.
AMD just gets lot of publicity because they challenge Intel and critics/Wall Street etc loves that part. When it comes to results they suck..
The fact that they created a micro architecture that got to within a percent or so of intels Core arch, sometimes a little higher sometimes a little lower all while on the ropes is nothing short of amazing.
It’s always good to have competition.
AMD's GPUs are not that bad, especially compared with Turing, if you take away ray tracing. Also mostly AMD shares a part of the market where NVIDIA has worse value for money ratio, i.e. low end. I wonder if the fact that the CEOs are relatives has something to do with it.
