Received email from Amazon but for Seattle location

So I received an email from a recruiter from Amazon but for their Seattle location. I've just moved to the Bay(4 months ago) and would really prefer working here. Do you think I could ask the recruiter to consider me for jobs in the Bay? Or will they simply drop it? Asking coz I've always seen this trend with Amazon recruiters in the past - if there's anything different from what they're looking for they ghost you. And I'd like an opportunity to interview with them. What do you suggest?

Just be honest...not being honest just wastes both your time. If you aren’t going to consider a Seattle position say that. If you’re willing to move but prefer BA roles say that.

Ask for it. I did and they had no issue connecting me to another recruiter. Don't waste your or their time if you don't intend to take up the offer is you get one. This is especially true for companies you do want to work for in the future.

Yeah, I think it's ethical to do that! I'm just being honest up front

Another approach get an offer and ask for work from Bay Area option or spend 6 months in seattle take internal transfer

Receuiter are tied to group which are location based that’s the reason they go ghost on you
