Interviewed with Facebook about 2-3 months back but didn’t get the offer. Got a LinkedIn message from another FB recruiter for a different role and scheduled for a phone screen - what are the chances of this moving forward? Not sure how they are approaching for another opportunity after not being selected for the previous one - what does this mean? Maybe they felt I wasn’t a good fit for the previous role and might fit in better in the new one? Or is it just a fluke?? 🤔
Bose guy us wrong. Tell them up front so you dont waste your time. My recruiter got it approved and I moved forward without having to worry. Others weren't so lucky.
This is very common
Recruiter is aware that I interviewed couple of months back - she mentioned that in her note to me.
What role did you interview before? What role are they offering you now? AFAIK FB has records on all interviews even if they were long before for each candidate.
This is normal. They only don't allow to reinterview for one year for the same role you did an onsite for.
I had two recruiters from FB contact me in same week. The second one was a bit upset to find out that I already had the on-site scheduled by the first one. They somehow talked behind the scenes and canceled things so I only got the second position on-site.
It could pan out. This happened to me before - rejected after 1st onsite, then called in 3 months later and offered. It’s worth the effort.
Don’t mention anything unless they ask you . Not your problem if they have a communication problem lol
