Recruiter wants to schedule phone call after onsite, what would this mean

I had a long interview process with 2 onsites at uber and now recruiter wants to schedule a phone call again. He/She dint mention if this was an offer or rejection where they want to just give some feedback. What should I expect? Getting restless Update: > The phone call was to find out if anything had changed on my end and to mention that it is taking longer than expected to make a decision. > Later the recruiter called again to say that the team had decided to move in a different direction and they only had positive feedback from the interview and it was a very tough decision to make

Just have the phone call you’ll likely hear the outcome during the call so get some lube ready

Ugh. Hate such recruiters. At least they didn't keep you hanging over a weekend. All the best.👍

Hate? Wow, you must be a gem to be around.

I got an offer like that. I think they usually just send a rejection email.

Offer for sure

Uber just need 2 interviews for an offer?

I had 2 onsites. First onsite with 4 interviewers back to back and second onsite with 3 interviewers. Before onsite I had one with hiring manager, followed by case study and another virtual round of interview before going onsite. It just seemed long compared to other companies, don't know if this is standard for Uber

It’s offer but why do you want to join Uber? They are laying off people

Good luck, these days some recruiters try to be humane and call and convey rejection. Not sure why. Just send the damn email.

I second that ⤴️ I would hate to pretend to be thank you and all just after they reject. I would rather have it over email and take a moment to digest it before fake smile again

I think you got it. Recruiter wants to talk over phone to gauge how excited you are passing the interview. Helps them when TC discussions happen

Sorry to break the news - If they mentioned “feedback” it’s not good. As written feedback is not shared as they’re liable for a law suit.

No, they dint mention anything in the email except schedule for phone call

Red Hat Johnniewic Nov 11, 2019

Ok, then that’s good. Good luck!

Probably they’ll share that the team is laid off and they are not hiring anymore

Don't read too much into it. My experience is that this can go both ways.
