People are reporting some crazy offers. One guys says he got Google to offer him 208k TC. 300k RSU out of undergrad. not including a 75k signing bonus. What a time.
- Nope not PhD , how can you say for sure ? By outlier I mean outlier for the position and company. If you mean outlier overall in CS then I agree with you but in that case getting into Google is also an outlier. Also I know two of my close friends get similar offers. One is masters and other us ugrad. The bonus linearly increased for each year making it more than the TC posted. Also 400K was for the first year not TC.

- Bloc.io’s year long full-time software engineering apprenticeship. Think of it as an applied CS BS in a year. The program was wound down to a 6 mo program to make it more profitable. They cut a lot of CS curriculum sadly. I’ve learned everything from VM/Compilers to Data Structures/Algos. I just don’t have a CS BS but it’s fine once I’ve actually gotten an interview. I’ll be fine once we’re a few years in though. I have a fraction of the debt. The work experience will give me leverage to work up the pay scale to catchup on overall career earnings.
- Salesforce JdtK07Know a new grad that get 350k rsu at Google. Google TC is flexible and the range is wide. It’s usually just negotiation and luck
