Looking to relocate to a good tech company in NYC as an SWE, but without prior FANG-type experience, my resume is struggling to get noticed. Would really appreciate y'all's help. Available to chat over DMs as well. Thank you!! https://repher.me/r/-LlME-MKoNRBnwtUVJMp 3 YOE building realtime clinical decision support systems tasked with saving the lives of critically ill patients. Top 15 US Undegrad (non-CS), 12 CS & Stats courses at Top 5 US University I've been prepping 5-7 hours a day, 7 days a week for 8 months now. Finished EPI (4 month plan) and 318 LC. Make Anki flashcards for all solved problems and review daily.
Holy shit, that's a lot of prep. Someone get this guy a job !
Somebody hire this big dong swinging chad ASAP
Can u share those flashcards?
Would be great if I could get them too. But I guess the value of these cards will be more if I prepare them myself
I can, but don't think it would be the best thing for people trying to learn. A lot of the value comes from making them yourself. Also, Some of them are whiteboard pictures with typos and other quirks that only I'm aware of.
You spent over 40 hours a week doing LC for 8 months and only finished 300 of them? Btw, please refer me to your current job, sounds like it has great WLB.
Didn't start LC until I finished EPI. EPI took me a while. When I started I struggled a lot with easies.
I will go out on a limb to guess you do not grow up in the states. Am I right?
“5-7 hours a day” Do you work full-time? How did you manage to study 5-7 hours a day and a fulltime job?
Woke up at 3-4AM everyday, went to bed pretty much right after work.
So how many hours of sleep did you get each day? And on weekends how many hours did you leetcode?
True though. Quite an inspirational story. Can't you refer him at IBM? Ibm is pre-faang isn't it? It's the og faang since 70s or something I think.
Wow good job man, dm me. I want to learn more about you, although FB isn’t hiring <e5 😔
Will do!
DM me, will refer
Will do! Thank you!
What's EPI?
Elements of Programming Interviews. Best interview prep book.
I hope that book also helped you to prepare OOP and system design. You will need them during on-site. In my past experience some companies ask OOP during the phone tech interview instead of coding, but maybe because that role was for experienced engineers.
