Referral for Summer 2020 SWE
Is anyone willing to provide a referral at Facebook, Google, Amazon, Apple, Uber, Airbnb, Lyft, Twitter, etc? I am a junior CS student with a pretty strong CS background at an Ivy School. I applied with all the mentioned companies, and I got Amazon OA, finished all 3 parts, did it perfectly, but have not heard anything back yet. I know it is a little late to seek referrals at this time. My initial plan is to apply for the positions without any referral, and I am very confident about my CS knowledge and working as a TA and doing research at school. After I talk to a few friends, they all agree that these big companies prefer referrals over webpage applications. I guess I am too naive, lol. So, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Why would you want Amazon referral if you already did OA?
Also how do you know you did part 3 perfectly? They don't give you any feedback, so I feel like your bsing.
Maybe I should phase differently. Part 3 is work simulation and logical ability. Yes, you are correct that it is hard to see whether I did okay or not. It is more subjective feeling. I should say that I did part 1 and part 2 okay, part 3 unknown, more accurately. Thanks for your correction.
