Unless someone can personally speak for you, you are unlikely to get a referral. It’s not how it works here. Apply in the jobsite. Your resume will get reviewed. If your experience and background are what the hiring manager is looking for, they will reach out. As a hiring manager, I hired multiple people based on random applications. Additionally, I was also hired purely from me applying in the site.
Gotcha. I got a referral for facebook because I picked up a facebook employee in my uber. But not enough experience. I thought I’d ask anyway. :)
I recommend applying for a role that might seem more “junior” than you like by title. Specifically, you may want to push to be a director - maybe you’ve held that role before... but I would look at the manager level roles. You’ll be looked at as someone who can be a high performer (review the culture deck for more context). Don’t worry about money, as they pay based on your contribution and impact, not title.
