Referrals for Seattle PM roles? (Airbnb, Stripe, Square, or other)
I'm a PM 2 at MS looking to move to a smaller company (no FAANG... please). Anybody willing to provide a referral? I've seen some positions open at Airbnb, Stripe, and Square but I'd be happy to work pretty much anywhere not FAANG.

As a PM, doesn't going to smaller firms become a risk? Because moving back up to a FAANG or bigger company gets harder. No?

FYI asking for a Square referral is not likely to result in one because we don't get referral bonuses and I don't know anyone who would refer a stranger in that situation

Where you at now OP? I see myself in the same boat as you (pm 2 at msft)
Harder to get a role at those companies than in FAANG lol especially PM. AirBnB generally hires 10+ years experience for PM.
Yeah, I'm aware... hence seeing if anybody may be willing to refer. I know it's a long shot, but I promise I'm a great candidate. Just not one with 10+ years of exp :P
(Also, I'd really prefer to work at an even smaller company than those 3, but I think it'd be harder to find employees from those on here)
