Referrals

Hello, I have been lurking on blind for a while, now I'm looking for a career change to one of the FAANG companies. So far I had conversations with Apple, Amazon and Oculus (I know it's part of Facebook but not Facebook proper). I have applied to Google via a buddy's referral but no calls yet. I've been in SDM/EM roles for 10 years.. I have total of 22 yoe total in embedded SWE. I've been in LA all of my career, now I'm open to relocate if opportunity is right. I'm not familiar with all the various companies who maybe looking for my type of background and experience, so any pointers/referrals will be highly appreciated especially FAANG or equivalent.
