Other than the Mic, HuffPo and NYT gender editor who cranks out articles full-time, I’ve seen the news cycle move on in a pretty serious way. This isn’t surprising given all the other crazy shit going on in the US right now. Do you think things are starting to wind down?
Nope. It’s a social movement that is just getting started.
What do you think is the next stage? Is there a previous movement we could look to as a model?
Well for starters, it hasn’t really reached Wall Street yet. I don’t know what you mean by next stage. I just see a continuation of it and probably merging back into existing gender rights issues and women’s marches. The net effect is the death of the patriarchal society. Good riddance.
I’m waiting for it to hit financial services. There are so many untold secrets.
#MeToo is dead in the water for the long run because a lot of women, including my wife, are realizing how utterly bullshit it truly is. News flash, there are more women in the world than just those in Silicon Valley and Seattle. The movement is no longer about sexual harassment and men's behavior. It's now about annihilating masculinity and creating a world of docile, weak, dominateable men who will simply flop over to a hashtag. The women who follow this shit aren't interested in equality, they are interested in power, thanks to the 2nd/3rd wave feminist movements. The fact is, most western women are blind to the incredible progress made by western men towards the goal of civilization and often times on their behalf or hold hand and hand. My prediction is that the first wake up call will happen in Europe, when women realize what a world looks like without western men, and mostly Muslim men. Have fun with that.
This ^ 👏
Well said
Hope so
Why? So that you can start grabbing your female coworkers without retribution again? 🍆
