I am relocating from India to Redmond and am looking for recommendations on places to live. I’m not married so I’ll prefer happening areas with options to hang around. Upon research I realize Redmond and Bellevue areas are rather sad. Capitol Hill seems interesting but too expensive. I prefer not to share house but can do for a great locality. Also ideas for things to do, not to do in Redmond, Bellevue, Seattle will be helpful.
Capital Hill if you are single and ready to mingle. Redmond if you have kids and want to take kids to parks
Thanks
Your commute will suck but try: Fremont, Ballard, queen ann (maybe), Columbia city (a bit more ghetto but it’s up and coming), Belltown, magnolia
Thanks
Look at University District, affordable, always happening and good connectivity to Redmond and rest of Seattle. A light rail station coming up in 2021 so it's going to get expensive, enjoy it while it lasts.
Thanks
Redmond\Bellevue are $$$ Bellevue over Redmond, but seattle is probably where you want to be.. Every where is $$$ if you can choose the south end of either town (closer to i-90). Cap hill is a good spot.
Thanks
You are relocating from India to India. Should not see any surprises
Not sure if it’s good or bad
Nobody does
If you're single, be on Seattle side. Belltown, Capital Hill are good neighborhoods. In fact I'm moving out of my current place in Belltown. You will have furnished apartment. Another roommate is Indian. DM me if you want to know more.
