I have just one more chance left for getting H1B visa and I am not sure if I will get it. I got an offer from Oracle and wanted to know what are the options they usually present if someone runs out of H1B visa chances ? Do they relocate ? Do they terminate employment ? Does Immigration team easily give options or they have to be pushed hard ? Any experiences from present or former Oracle employees will be appreciated. Thanks !
Try an O1
Oracle will handle it for you. One of my teammates was just relocated to their pick of places. They were able to choose between Canada, Australia, India, and Europe. They were pretty stressed about it, but I’ve been talking to them recently and they seem really happy with how smoothly everything went (and they seem to really like the new office they picked)! My team was really happy with how Oracle and our manager handled everything and we didn’t have to lose an awesome teammate.
It really depends on your manager. Your importance to the team as ascertained by your manager will likely influence this decision. I have known atleast three people who were in similar situation. They just had 1 more chance left and they asked their respective managers about possible options if not selected in the lottery. The managers told they can't assure anything...
Talk to your hiring manager about it (the ans will be most probably yes, but no harm)-- before signing the offer
My experience with Oracle’s HR immigration people was less than perfect. Some amount of stonewalling on the promised green card. New teammates had to wait ~4 months for a simple H-1B transfer. The legal firm they are using (BAL) is a catastrophe. I wouldn’t wager the future of my life on them.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
Try to get a job at Amazon if possible. They can transfer You to Australia, Canada, Europe etc. if you have visa issues.
The pay is less there and I like the team and manager at Oracle. So I want to take on that offer !
Thats really surprising. What’s you experience/position/base/stocks/bonus?
